Luv-n-Care Child Development Center was established in 1970 by Mr. and Mrs. Cooke, who recognized the importance superior education would play in the intellectual development of their seven children. Their belief in a developmental educational program for each age group would soon change the path day care would take in the San Antonio area. A 3000 sq. ft. building on the corner of Vance Jackson and Wurzbach Road granted them the opportunity to pioneer quality development care for all children. The doors opened July 1st, with an enrollment of twenty-three children. Mr. and Mrs. Cooke’s love for children was apparent and the demand for quality care was outstanding.
Schools were established in the Leon Valley and Thousand Oaks areas in 1978 and 1983, respectively. Their original location was rebuilt in 1987 and then relocated to the corner of Huebner and Lockhill Selma Road in 2002. A fourth center was opened in the Stone Oak area in 2009.
The Cooke family continues to be involved in the day to day operations of the business. What makes Luv-n-Care Child Development Center special? Our family atmosphere is apparent. Thirty plus years in the business provides experience which makes a difference.
